International Scholarly Publishing Conference
PKP 2019

Join us.

The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) is pleased to present the Seventh International PKP Scholarly Publishing Conference, in partnership with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, from November 18 - 22, 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. This bi-annual event includes a two-day development sprint, pre-conference OJS workshops, and feature presentations. Our confirmed lineup includes keynotes by John Willinsky (PKP/Stanford), Reme Melero (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas), Ignasi Labastida (Universitat de Barcelona), Katherine Skinner (Educopia), Tara Robertson (Mozilla), and Abel Packer (SciELO).

Meet our community.

PKP’s bi-annual conference is first and foremost a community gathering. With an estimated 10,000 journals using OJS around the world, we’ve made more than just a few friends in the last two decades. These users, and the organizations that enhance and support our software, are the reasons we meet - to acknowledge and support our shared success so we can become better, together. We expect a turnout of between 200 - 250 participants, all with a shared interest in advancing open access, investigating alternative publishing models, and strengthening local publishing capacity.

Support the future of scholarly publishing.

Your sponsorship helps us create a stronger community. In exchange, share your organization’s story and connect with an international audience of researchers, libraries, developers, and publishers.  You won’t just be sponsoring a conference. You‘ll be directly contributing to the research, education, software, and services that make knowledge public.
